COLLAGE

I love to collage; for me it’s an outlet for self-expression, and an interesting medium in which to portray topics and illustrate themes. I typically collage with all sorts of materials: books, maps, lost images, my own photography, packaging and more, and love to include pieces of typography and fragmented hints towards the main themes. I research my topic thoroughly and encode hidden messages into my collage, often including relevant or pertinent materials that directly relate to the subject matter. My working method includes creating pieces both digitally and by hand.

Here are a few of my most recent pieces, all with Norwegian imagery and great literature at their core.

Literary-inspired collage, utilising Norwegian landscape photography by Casey-Drew, old books and maps. Manipulation digital (Photoshop) and by hand (cut and paste).
