THE SCIENCE OF TYPOGRAPHY
[editorial design, typography, copywriting]
This small book sought to act as a guide to illustrate the main principles of good typography.
Inspired by vintage science textbooks, this theme was used to not only create a visual fusion between the two subjects, but also to draw comparisons between typography and science in a way that hasn’t been done before; scientific laws and principles were incorporated into the guide, subtly — for example the use of TGAC for the classification of typography draws a parallel to the classification of amino acids in DNA.
A carefully selected body of anatomical illustrations, coupled with text formatting, successfully illustrates the principles of typography using science. >>>
